What is a CUREchief®?
A CUREchief® is a simple triangle shaped scarf that is worn like a kerchief on your head or a scarf around your neck. Created by Sandy Centorino in 2000 for a friend under going chemotherapy, the CUREchief® has become a symbol of HOPE to those battling cancer.

What is The CUREchief® Foundation?
The CUREchief® Foundation is a non-profit 501C3 organization that is dedicated to bringing warm and fuzzy feelings worldwide to cancer patients, survivors, their families and friends. The Foundation provides CUREchiefs® free of charge to cancer patients who are undergoing treatment and have lost their hair. Each day CUREchiefs® are made by hundreds of volunteers in Cheshire, Connecticut and across the U.S. and sent worldwide to hospitals, cancer centers and individuals.

Why was the CUREchief® Foundation formed?
The CUREchief® Foundation was formed in 2000 after Sandy Centorino and her daughters designed and sent a soft kerchief to their friend Patti who had lost her hair due to chemotherapy Patti and Sandy's daughters Steph and Allie inspired Sandy to make more CUREchiefs® and reach out to others like Patti that were in need.

• You can cut material into squares and triangles for CUREchiefs®
• You can package CUREchiefs®
• You and your friends, family or group can "design" Message of HOPE cards~ It’s simple and fun!
• Your special message will be delivered inside the CUREchief®, and YOU will touch someone’s life~
• You can send a fabric donation– fabric must be either, cotton, flannel or polar fleece -you can hold a fabric drive!

Program Results and Statistics
The CUREchief Foundation was formed in November of 2000.

• We are proud to announce to date we have delivered in excess of over 80,000 CUREchiefs® worldwide.
• We are also proud to announce that over 10,000 volunteer hours have been donated to the CUREchief® Foundation in the past twelve months. Volunteers include people of all ages and diversity, ranging from 3 to 93!

What happened with Patti the person who was the inspiration for the CUREchief®?
I am happy to announce that Patti has been cancer-free for several years and is a happy and healthy wife, of Dario and mother of three daughters, they are living in Massachusetts.
